Murphy & McGonigle to Have Leading Role at FIA Expo 2021

The leading companies and executives in the commodities, futures and derivatives sector of financial services will be gathering in the hub of commodities and futures, Chicago, for the 2021 FIA Expo this week. The Expo takes place from November 2-4 in Chicago and will be back in-person after missing last year.

As a leader in the sector, Murphy & McGonigle will serve as a Bronze Sponsor of the 2021 FIA Expo. Attorneys from the Firm’s Commodities, Futures & Derivatives Practice and White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance Counseling Practice will be in attendance and featured in multiple prominent speaking roles at FIA Expo.

The Firm’s Chair, Elizabeth Lan Davis, will be moderating a panel with a timely topic in the financial services sector, entitled "Transitioning Back to the Office." Speakers on the panel include representatives from IMC Trading, ICE Exchanges, R.J. O'Brien & Associates, and the National Futures Association, and will look at complexities in finding the right balance in today’s marketplace.

Murphy & McGonigle will also serve as the Stage Sponsor for the Learning Lab at FIA Expo. As part of that sponsorship., Steven Feldman and Robertson Park of the Firm’s White Collar team will provide a presentation at the Learning Lab on an innovative product from Murphy & McGonigle’s Innovation Lab, M&M Defend App. The session, scheduled for Wed., Nov. 3 at 11:30 am (CT) is entitled, "M&M Defend App: Real Time Response for Law Enforcement and Regulatory Inquiries."

Additionally, Murphy & McGonigle’s booth on the FIA Expo Exhibit Floor will be themed to M&M Defend, and lawyers from the firm will be offering demonstrations of the M&M Defend App to visitors to the Booth. Murphy & McGonigle will be located at Booth 419.

In 2020, the Firm launched a Chicago office as key market for financial services.
