Commodities, Futures & Derivatives Team Members to Speak at FIA Law & Compliance Conference

Members of Murphy & McGonigle’s Commodities, Futures & Derivatives Practice will be featured speakers and moderators on timely topics impacting the derivatives industry at the upcoming FIA Law & Compliance Division Annual Conference, to be conducted virtually from Apr. 28 – 30.

Robertson Park of the firm’s White Collar practice will also be a featured speaker on the panel, "Market Abuse and Disruptive Trading" on Apr. 29 (9:00 am – 10:00 am ET).

Later that day, Elizabeth Davis, formerly a Chief Trial Attorney at the CFTC’s Division of Enforcement, will moderate the panel, "Conducting and Defending an Investigation from Home," with panelists from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and the CME Group, among others, at 2:00 pm ET.

The next day, Apr. 30, Katherine Cooper, formerly Chief Regulatory Officer at NYSE LIffe US, will moderate a timely topic, "Ethics: Use of Zoom and Social Media" (9:30 am – 10:30 am ET).  The panel will explore ethical issues arising from the increased use of Zoom and other video conference platforms in our daily practices.
