CMBS Litigation Wave? The COVID-19 Fallout

The economic impact precipitated by COVID-19 is dealing a severe blow to the commercial real estate market. Will the COVID-19 fallout result in a wave of CMBS litigation?

Chairman James Murphy and shareholder Daniel Payne will be the faculty for a live Practising Law Institute (PLI) webcast on Tues., Aug. 11. The program begins at 2:00 pm EDT, and CLE credit is available.

Mr. Murphy has served as lead trial counsel to a number of large banks in a variety of litigation and government investigations concerning Residential Mortgage Backed Securities issues. Mr. Payne’s experience includes defending mortgage originators and RMBS sponsors in litigation and government investigations spawned by the 2008 financial crisis.
