Sharon A. O'Shaughnessy: Service to our communities is one of Murphy & McGonigle's core values. We provide a wide range of service opportunities for all firm personnel to support their local communities. For many years, Murphy & McGonigle supported the mission of an independent pre kindergarten through grade eight Jesuit school in Central Harlem. The school is dedicated to educating at risk inner city children. In addition to our normal support, our New York office held a successful school supply drive that exceeded expectations. One of our Washington office traditions has been the annual back to school drive, where we collect donations of school supplies for underprivileged students. We work with food banks in all our communities to help the one in seven in this country who go hungry every day. We volunteer for a range of organizations to provide legal aid to those less fortunate, sometimes this takes the form of pro bono work, where many of our attorneys freely and passionately give their time to causes important to them. While our practice areas revolve around the financial and security sector, our legal capabilities, allow us to represent victims of domestic violence, assist indigent populations in drafting medical directives and help others who have social needs. We never lose sight of earning the trust and confidence of our clients or our community. We're humbled to serve and are proud to give back.
Murphy & McGonigle Gives Back
Since its inception, Murphy & McGonigle has made it a priority to give back to the community through partnerships with area non-profit organizations. We are as passionate about being good partners in our community as we are about our work, encouraging our employees and providing opportunities for them to give back too.
